F.E. Olds & Son Special Professional Dual Bore Trombone 1956

What F.E. Olds said about the Special trombone in a 1951 catalog:
"The SPECIAL trombone is designed for maximum comfort over long hours of use and is characteristic of Olds meticulous workmanship. The light, strong, tubular braces of the SPECIAL trombone are accurately spaced to fit the hand. The size and conical proportions are planned for "brilliant" trombone quality in both high and low registers... and for tremendous tone power."

This particular F.E. Olds Special trombone dates back to 1956 and is in good condition for its age. This trombone may be close to 70 years old, but it's an excellent player! Includes the original case, which is in fair condition. While the original case is certainly useable, we do sell trombone cases such as the Gator Deluxe Molded Case if you wish to replace it. If you're looking for a vintage jazz horn with a great core to the sound and excellent high register, this horn is for you!
