Holton Galaxy TR-401 Professional Vintage Dual Bore Trombone

What Holton said about the Galaxy trombone in a 1965 catalog (page 7)*:
"Model TR-401 Holton Galaxy - Made of solid nickel silver (not just nickel plated) this amazing instrument has captured the fancy of trombonists everywhere. The Galaxy trombone features the richest, darkest and most robust tone of any tenor trombone. It is extremely responsive and easy to control throughout its entire range."

This particular Holton Galaxy trombone dates back to 1961 and is in great condition for its age. This trombone may be over 60 years old, but it's an excellent player! Includes the original case, which is in good condition. While the original case is certainly useable, we do sell trombone cases such as the Gator Deluxe Molded Case if you wish to replace it. There was heavy and rough plating wear on the thumb brace area of the bell, which has been smoothed out and re-lacquered. If you're looking for a vintage horn with great projection and flexibility, this one's for you!
