Vincent Bach 7C Small Shank Trombone/Baritone Mouthpiece

Vincent Bach brass instrument mouthpieces have been a staple of the industry for nearly a century! The wide range of offerings in mouthpiece sizes makes them an ideal choice for players of all skill levels. Small shank mouthpieces are intended for use with small or medium bore tenor trombones and can usually fit into baritones and some euphoniums. The 7C will play best when used with a small bore tenor trombone of any skill level.

The 7C has a slightly larger rim than a 12C, but a smaller rim and shallower cup than a 6-1/2AL. This makes the sound somewhat larger than a 12C, but not as warm and broad as a 6-1/2AL.

Specs:

• 24.75mm/0.974" inner cup diameter
• Medium-Wide, Medium-Round rim contour
• Medium-Shallow cup depth
• 0.230" throat, 402 backbore taper

The Bach Mouthpiece Sizing System:

• the number denotes the size of the mouthpiece rim - higher numbers feel smaller, lower numbers feel larger. Most players start with a 12 or 6-1/2 rim size
• The letter(s) following the number designate special variations on the basic Vincent Bach design, such as cup depth, backbore size, or rim contour
• In the case of the 7C, the C designates a shallower cup than a 7.
