Yamaha YCL-400AD Advantage Bb Clarinet Adjustable Thumb Rest

To balance the change to leather pads, the bell and bore taper has been optimized for greater clarity and resonance on lower notes and to maintain an even tone and stable intonation across all registers.

The second generation YCL-400AD incorporates many key features of Yamaha professional and custom model clarinets. One such feature is the 65mm barrel, carefully designed to produce a focused tone and a quick response. Players looking to step up their performance will do just that with this clarinet.

Part of making the YCL-400ADII "feel" better is the upgrade in spring material. Blue steel springs give the keys a lighter touch and feel while producing a smooth, quick action.

Sculpted, nickel-plated keys provide tonal clarity and focus. Additionally, nickel-plating provides an alternative for those allergic to silver-plating. The keys are power forged to achieve the appropriate strength level, resulting in exceptional durability and increased comfort.

Straight tone holes with tapered undercuts deliver exceptional intonation and response, allowing the YCL-400ADII to perform at a level comparable to professional models.
